Because the next meeting would be during the week of Thanksgiving, Pete Creel made a motion to cancel the meeting. Kelly Arsenault seconded the motion and it passed. Our next meeting will be Monday, January 26, 2026.
Historic Preservation
Sean Bolin
Two houses with historic zoning cases. The first involved the approval of a shed, with the recommendation to approve as-is, without requiring any changes to the roof pitch or windows. The second case pertained to an addition, which included replacing columns that were deteriorating.

Home Tour ticket sales are trickling in. The CD account matures at the end of November and Martin recommends a new CD. Jenny Spatz makes a motion to approve and Sonja Koeckertiz seconded it. The motion passed.
Beautification
We're still looking for someone to take over beautification! Xavier Bridges had students come over to help weed the park and will also have students help at the First Cree clean-up on November 22 from 9am-12pm.

The neighborhood will decorate Beth Ann Booker Park for the tour. In total, there will be twelve stops to enjoy. Sonja offered extra Christmas decorations for anyone who may need them. Donna is in charge of managing volunteer sign-ups and will send out information soon. Furthermore, Drew will ensure that volunteer information is posted on Facebook.
Social
Kelly Arsenault
Monthly social is next Wednesday (November 5) at Schulz Brau from 7-9pm
New Business
Happy Holler Project
A group of businesses in Happy Holler are launching HistoricHappyHoller.org. Their goal is to connect with the neighborhood and want the neighborhood to include a link to their website on our website. They would also appreciate a shoutout in any neighborhood newsletters, if possible. Additionally, they want to help with Home Tour by having the eVape Tavern bathroom accessible. They would also like a neighborhood representative at their meetings, if possible.
Hollero is set for May 9, 2026.
Broadway Development
The former open air market on Broadway is undergoing redevelopment with two parcels facing Broadway and Grainger. The current design has been submitted for approval. The developer applied for rezoning from CG-2 to CG-1. This application is scheduled for review by the Planning Commission in early December, followed by a presentation to City Council in January. Community input may be required during this process. Erin brought up concern of the future of the H1 house purchased by the developer.
