Minutes

Chloie Airoldi-Waters made a motion to approve March minutes. Pete Creel seconded, and the motion passed in a voice vote.

Historic Preservation

Sean Bolen: no new applications for the most recent meeting; house on Harvey has Tyvec up & were attempting to install vinyl siding, but they were stopped before installation & will go through the proper process

Beautification

Margareth Olsson: she will be resigning as the head, and she is looking for someone new to take the lead position. Allie & Caleb will be taking over the First Creek Cleanup. Still need someone to take the lead for taking care of Beth Ann Booker Park. Drew said he can reach out to landscapers to ask about weeding and perhaps adding their sign for advertising or offering a Home Tour Ad. David Booker mentioned the traffic circles as well.

We can get a new sign put up in First Creek Park with Old North logo once we have one finalized.

Bulletin Boards: Dave presented a cheaper option made of plastic that is durable w/ removable lock. Pete makes motion to table the issue until next year. Chloie 2nds the motion.

Public Works

Joy Guilford for Dustin Durham: working on getting a digital survey on the website so

people can chime in with their thoughts

Communication

Drew working on pricing for new banners. He spoke with a few companies including the one

who printed the old banners. He’s still working on pricing.

Home Tour

Martin Cordell: No updates, still looking for show homes!

Social:

Kelly Arsenault: Next monthly meetup will be Wed July 2 at Schulz Bräu Brewing Company 7-9pm. Still leaning towards Sep 27th for Porch Crawl and will be looking for 3 volunteer porches.

Elections

Donna Spencer announced the slate of nominees for board terms ending in 2028:

• President Joy Guilford

• Vice President Dustin Durham

• Treasurer Martin Cordell

• Secretary John Golliher

Drew makes motion. Chloie 2nds the motion. Election passed.

Ongoing Issues at YNot Tavern

Y-not Tavern (Dave speaking): send a complaint letter to the DA. They looked into it & it’s on

record & have had several reports apparently. Property has recently been sold, and neighbors trying to do some background investigating to see what the plans are for the building. Apartment/condos going into the lot in front of the bar.

Pirate Tavern window was shot & the perp was a regular at Y-Not Tavern as well.

Vacant Commercial Buildings on Broadway

Joy asked if anyone knows who owns the white commercial buildings along Broadway that back up to the alley at Armstrong. (~1307-1313 Broadway) Apparently extra car & people traffic happening right now.

ICE Activity in Neighborhood

Dave presented an info sheet & business cards for group tracking the movements of ICE and raids for those interested.
