Officer Reports

Officer Report by Shelley Clemons, KPD

Opened the floor to questions and concerns regarding a person of concern in and around the neighborhood with a shopping cart. He is known to KPD as an unhoused man with developmental disabilities. He volunteers at the food pantry and has never, to her knowledge, been a threat to anyone’s property or safety. VMC and Adult Protective Services have been involved, and assistance is difficult for multiple reasons.

Reported that Dustin Durham was injured after hitting a pothole on Glenwood with his bike and encouraged people to call such hazards into 311.

Treasurer: Martin Cordell

Presented the treasurer’s report; no additional comments.

Minutes

Pete Creel made a motion to approve February’s minutes. Chloie Airoldi-Watters seconded, and the motion passed in a voice vote.

Committee Reports

Historic Preservation

No report.

Beautification: Margareth Olsson

First Creek cleanup and celebration needs volunteers:

• People to supervise cleanup

• Trailer from city with equipment

• Parking

• General volunteers

There are only 30 T-shirts, so come early; Circa is printing extras to sell in the shop. Scheduled for Saturday, April 5, with a rain date of April 12. She’s still working to find a musician for the celebration event. Also still looking for someone to weed and work in Beth Ann Booker Park.

Public Works: Dustin Durham

No report.

Communications: Donna Spencer

Spring postcard is at the printer, newsletter next month.

Home Tour: Martin Cordell

No report; committee will probably have its first meeting next month.

Social: Kelly Arsenault

Joy reported for Kelly. The Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, April 19, and the monthly social at Schulz Bräu is on April 2.

Drew Sparks is continuing to work with Martin on the logo, etc.

Elections

Donna Spencer announced the slate of nominees for board terms ending in 2028:

There were no nominations from the floor. Board members will be elected and officer nominees announced in April.

Bulletin Boards/Message Boards for Parks

Donna will prepare a report with options for boards with costs.

New Business

May Meeting

The scheduled meeting falls on Memorial Day weekend. Drew Sparks moved to cancel the meeting; Chloie Airoldi-Watters seconded, and the motion passed in a voice vote.
